In the Odrysian Kingdom’ - a 3-day non-specialized excursion itinerary. It can be done by car, bus, bike and motor-bike. The distance between Malko Tarnovo and Kiyikoy is about 140 km.

Day 1: Arrival in Malko Tarnovo. Check-in at the tourist base. A visit to the sights in the town – the two churches, the museum of history. A visit to the Thracian cult complex at the locality of Mishkova Niva. Dinner.
Day 2: Early-morning departure for Turkey. The town of Kirklareli – a visit to the museum, a walking tour of the sights in the centre of the town (the five mosques, an old Turkish bath-house, a monument to Karagöz – creator of the shadow theatre). The town of Vize – a visit to the fortress wall, an amphitheatre, the Byzantine Church of St. Sophia (now a mosque), Ambarkaya - a Thracian rock-cut sanctuary. The town of Kiyikoy (ancient Salmydessus) – check-in, dinner.
Day 3: A visit to St. Nicholas – a rock monastery (6th c.) – a 15 minutes’ walk from the centre of the town. A walk along the Black Sea coast, at the Pabukdere River firth, an ancient fortress wall. A departure for Kirklareli, arrival back in Malko Tarnovo.
The specific features of the places of interest included in the Odrysian Kingdom Programme make it suitable for specialized visits of archaeology, history and culturology lovers and specialists.

Day 1: Arrival in Malko Tarnovo. Check-in at the tourist base. A visit to the sights in the town – the two churches, the museum of history, the visitor centre of the Nature Park. A possibility for a short walking route in the environs of the town.
Day 2: Early-morning departure for Turkey. The town of Kirklareli – a visit to the museum, a walking tour of the sights in the centre of the town (the five mosques, an old Turkish bath-house, a monument to Karagöz – the creator of the shadow theatre). The town of Demirkoy – a visit to Fatih Foundry. The town of Igneada – check-in, a walk around the town.
Day 3: sunbathing, free time.
Day 4: Departure for Kirklreli, arrival back in Malko Tarnovo.
The programme provides a longer-period option – it depends on how long you would like to enjoy the 20-kilometer beach strip of golden sand!
‘The bounties of Strandzha/Yildiz’ – a 4-day specialized botanical and speleological itinerary. Available by car (an off-road vehicle if possible), bike, and motor bike. In the centre of the village of Sarpdere the road is narrow and takes a sharp turn, which is impossible to be made by a big bus.

Day 1: A visit to the natural sight of ‘Caves and springs along the Mladezhka River’ (the village of Mladezhko, 50 km away from Burgas and 32 km from Malko Tarnovo). Arrival in Malko Tarnovo. Check-in at the tourist base. Visitor centre of the Strandzha Nature Park.
Day 2: Early-morning departure for the Republic of Turkey, Dupnitsa Cave. Immediately after the village of Derekoy on the left – a road branch to the village of Armutveren. Stabilized road – 32 km. Dupnitsa Cave – bat fauna, cave watching. Demirkoy is 18 km away along the same stabilized road (the lakes of Saka, Pedina and Hamam are protected natural habitats. The lakes of Mert and Erikli, and Dupnitsa Cave are natural sites of first-degree protection). Arrival in the town of Igneada. Check-in.
Day 3: Visitor centre of the protected wetland. Sand dunes, longoz-type forests, lakes.
Day 4: Departure for the town of Kirklareli. A visit to the museum. Departure for Malko Tarnovo.
